Cardiff Rugby vs Dragons RFC: Pledge and Win Sky Lounge Hospitality!

On November 30th, Cardiff Rugby will face off against Dragons RFC in a match that goes beyond the usual competition. This game is special because, for the first time, they are teaming up with Pledgeball to invite their incredible fans to join us in protecting the places we play and love.

Pledgeball is more than just a movement; it’s a platform that enables us to make a real difference. A Pledgeball fixture is an opportunity for us to come together and commit to reducing carbon emissions through simple, impactful actions. Together, our impact is enormous – not just in reducing emissions but in showing businesses, clubs and governing bodies that we want them to take action.

It’s also a chance to beat Dragons RFC off the pitch, who pledged to save 548,270 Kg CO2e!

Getting involved is easy! Pledge to take specific actions that help reduce our collective carbon footprint. You have until midnight on matchday to make your pledge. Carrying out each pledge contributes to a better place for us all to live and enters you into a prize draw to win a signed ball and 4 tickets for Sky Lounge hospitality.

The potential for Cardiff Rugby fans to drive positive change is enormous. Did you know:

  • If every fan at a packed Cardiff Arms Park cycles to work, it equates to taking 1,190 cars off the road!
  • If every fan at a packed Cardiff Arms Park recycles everything they can, it equates to taking 1,379 cars off the road!

These choices reduce emissions and create a ripple effect, inspiring friends, family, and communities to make more sustainable decisions.

Katie Cross, CEO of Pledgeball, said, “This launch has been a long time coming – we are so excited to partner with Cardiff Rugby and to see the fans take on the Dragons RFC. I can’t wait to see the collective impact of Cardiff Rugby fans!”

COO at Cardiff Rugby, Jamie Muir, said: “At Cardiff Rugby, sustainability is a major focus, and we are committed to reducing our environmental impact, as well as inspiring our community to make a positive difference.

“Our continued collaboration with RSK, a global leader in sustainable solutions, exemplifies this commitment, as does the recent creation of a Safety and Sustainability Coordinator role within the company and this new partnership with Pledgeball.

“Teaming up with Pledgeball for our fixture against Dragons RFC gives us and our supporters the chance to show how powerful rugby can be in driving change. Let’s step up, make our pledges, and help protect the places we love.”

This is more than just a game. It’s a chance to be part of something bigger—a movement making a real difference. Join us, make your pledge, and let’s protect the future of the sport and the places we cherish.
