As part of Pledgeball’s mission to lower carbon footprints and to support our Protect Where We Play campaign TrainSplit became our Official Travel Partner and have been encouraging both fans and clubs to use rail travel as a more sustainable option. Their split ticketing site also reduces the cost of tickets making train travel more affordable and accessible for fans.
Introducing TrainSplit
Trainsplit.com is the split ticketing brand of Raileasy, a leading on-line seller of rail tickets. TrainSplit was the UK’s first split ticketing site and it has changed the way people plan their rail travel. Since its launch in 2014 we’ve found our customers over £70m in savings.
Key Achievements and Collaborations
- Trainsplit.com became Pledgeball’s Official Travel partner in August 2023
- Sponsored a competition to win £1,000 of free away train travel in the 2023-24 season.
- Attended UEFA Innovate Showcase as guests of Pledgeball.
- Sponsored a competition for 5 fans to win £100 of free away train travel in the 2024-25 season.
- Sponsored the Climate Action Award at The FSA Awards 2024 evening.
- Exeter City – rail booking widget added to the away travel section of their website.
- Charlton Athletic – activation at their Greener Game v Cambridge United.
- Newport Dragons RFC – rail booking widget added to their website.
- Cardiff City FC – introduction via the Sustainable Travel Charter. Joined CCFC as their Sustainability Teammate for the club’s Great Save initiative.
- Clinks – Pledgeball introduction to organisation working in the criminal justice system. Set-up dedicated site to handle their business travel.
- Affiliate sites set-up for fan groups at Fulham FC and Swindon Town to help them travel sustainably and save money.
