Respect the places we play.

Leave spaces better than you found them.

Whether it’s your Sunday-league pitch or a simple park kickabout, follow simple “leave no trace” habits: remove all litter, stick to paths and designated recreational areas where you can, and keep wildlife undisturbed.

Clubs are acting on nature too. Tottenham has introduced wildflower meadows, ponds and biodiversity features at its training complex, including hundreds of bat boxes and bug hotels, as part of wider commitments to nature-positive operations.

Why not add a mini clean-up to park meetups? With a pair of gloves each and a couple of reusable sacks you could have a quick five-minute tidy before you leave. It’s easy, visible, and great for the local community and wildlife.

Tips

  • Bring a couple of spare sacks and gloves (or litter-pickers!) to your outdoors meetups for a post-session tidy.
  •  Contact your local park or club and request the creation of a wildflower strip and add a sign explaining why it matters.
  •  Walk, cycle, or use public transport to your game when it suits your schedule.
