Football fans across the globe are invited to pledge for their national team to collectively reduce emissions, support women’s education and win prizes.

Thursday morning started with an exciting game between New Zealand and Norway, which means Pledgeball World Cup campaign is now in full swing! Get involved in support of your team and be in with the chance to win prizes!

Throughout the World Cup, Pledgeball are encouraging fans to pledge in support of their national team in order to push them up the World Cup Pledgeball League Table. This will also enter fans into a prize draw with the chance to win copies of Football Manager 2023, tickets to watch England play Scotland later this year. Also up for grabs is a Pledgeball shirt signed by BT Sport pundits such as Adebayo Akinfenwa, Lindsey Hipgrave, Owen Hargreaves, Robbie Savage, Steve MacManaman, Chris Sutton and Jules Breach.

Pledgeball are delighted to have been joined by a wide range or partners and supporters such as RSK Group, Nixi Body, Football Manager, Global Fan Network, 90 Min, Football Beyond Borders, Irise and Katie Rood, Hearts player and New Zealand International.

Not only will the Pledgeball’s World Cup campaign be rallying the football community to collectively reduce emissions, but it will also accelerate emission reduction through increasing girls’ access to sport and education. It will do this by supporting projects to improve knowledge about, and access to, sustainable menstrual products. Girls accessing education has the potential of avoiding nearly 85 gigatonnes of carbon emissions and ‘girls who play sports are more likely to get better grades in school’.
